Update:

Thanks to the incredible support of friends and family, the kids are beginning to get what they need, but Natalie and Steven are starting over from scratch. A donation center has been set up at Cross Kicks Fitness in Batavia (next to Jewel at 143 S Randall Rd, Batavia, IL 60510) for anyone who would like to give directly.

The family is especially in need of:

    •    Home goods: pots, pans, utensils, towels, small appliances, and household basics

    •    Clothing-Men’s Business casual work attire for XL shirt (Men’s shoe size 13)

    •    Clothing -WomenSmall/Medium(Women’s shoe size 7)

On 8/21/25 a tragedy struck when the Burmeister family lost their home to a devastating fire. In just moments, everything they owned—their home, belongings, and cherished memories—was destroyed. THANK GOD, they are safe, but the road ahead to rebuild their life will be long and overwhelming. Anyone who knows the Burmeister's knows how kind, generous, and supportive they are to everyone around them. Now it’s our turn to surround them with that same love and support.

These funds will help cover immediate needs such as clothing (Boy- 5T, girl- 2T, W-S/M, and M- XL), food, temporary housing, and essentials, as well as contribute toward the long-term process of rebuilding and recovery. No donation is too small—every contribution will make a difference in helping the Burmeister's take the first steps toward healing and rebuilding.
