The Val Burgess Bereavement Fund

On Thursday, February 27th, we lost the incredibly loving matriarch of the Burgess family, Valia.

Ms. Val was a strong woman of faith who loved her family and friends deeply and was as strong of an encourager as you will ever meet. Her deep faith and love helped sustain her during her two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. It was a true blessing to share these final moments with her.

During her final weeks, her husband, Scott Burgess, chose to take an unpaid leave to stay at home and care for Valia. Due to increased stress and grief, her husband, Scott Burgess, has experienced periodic memory loss and higher than usual blood sugar levels.

This GoFundMe is set up to help the family offset the high costs of the funeral and burial expenses, as well as help Scott as he navigates this time without his wife and allow the family as a whole to take the necessary time to heal.
