Hey everyone! WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!
Before this tour, I spent 3 months renovating our new bus. Nearly 10k of work and renovations, and everything seemed perfect. I was extremely proud of the fruits of my endless, exhausting labor.
Then we left for this current tour we're on.
First day in, our generator went. -$2500
Second day, our brake line went. -$800
5th day, we noticed the transmission leaking...
Spent $250 on a mobile mechanic just to diagnose...
Long story short, he said it was a specific seal near the engine. Considering it's a pretty big job, we had just been topping it off every stop for the last week...
We found someone to replace the seal and scheduled it for our day off. -$1500
After the repair, we went to leave for the tour and noticed we weren't shifting...
We checked and... knock on wood... transmission fluid pouring out... 20x worse than before.
Called the mechanic and he's trying to say, "Oh, there must have been a hairline crack and it may have broken when I removed the transmission."
Anyways... we then paid another mechanic to pull it (at this point we were missing shows) again. He inspected and said we just needed ANOTHER new seal and a new pump, and that the previous guy did an improper install.
We found a guy on Facebook who built transmissions professionally. He turned the job around in 24 hours, inspected the transmission, and said all looked great!
So there we were again, paying for it to be reinstalled.
Our mechanic worked late into the night... finally, he was done!
WELL GUESS THE HECK WHAT?! STILLLLLLL FREAKIN' LEAKIN'!!!!!!
At this point, we're thinking it may be the converter... even though it was inspected...
EITHER WAY, we're way too far behind on the tour now to catch up. We've spent thousands upon thousands, and my team and I are all out of work and pay for the 3 weeks of tour being cancelled.
We'd really appreciate your help! We do this full time. THIS WAS our income for the winter season.
