We are in the process of building a mosque in Ethiopia to provide a place for worship, Islamic education, and community service. As you know, mosques are not only places of prayer but also centers for learning, unity, and charity.

The masjid, named Arrahman, used to be a church and is located in the city, Aysha, in the border between Ethiopia and Djibouti. This is the only masjid in the area. A Muslim man bought the property 2 years ago but recently passed away. His female relative is now looking to raise money to rebuild the property.

All funds will provide for:

All funds will directly go to a woman who lives in the Lorton area, and she will transfer ALL funds to the woman in Ethiopia who owns the property. We are a group of Muslim community members in the Lorton area who want to support and build this mosque in the Ethiopia/Djibouti area.

We need your generous support and contributions to complete this blessed project. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Sahih Bukhari & Muslim].

نحن بصدد بناء مسجد في هذا مكان لتوفير مكان للعبادة والتعليم الإسلامي وخدمة المجتمع. وكما تعلمون، فإن المساجد ليست فقط دورًا للعبادة، بل هي مراكز تجمع للمسلمين، ومراكز لنشر العلم والخير.
