Honoring Petar’s Life and Your Generosity

With heavy hearts, we share that on Saturday, June 28, 2025, my brother-n-law Petar Brkovic passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. After a courageous battle with cancer, Petar is now at peace. We will miss him dearly, his strength, his kindness, and the love he gave so generously to his family and the community he served for 27 years as a proud member of the Chicago Police Department.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, and supported us during this time. Your generosity has lifted my sister and nieces in ways words cannot fully express. We are deeply moved by your compassion.

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved family member Petar Brkovic has been placed into hospice care after a courageous battle with cancer.

Petar is more than a husband, father, brother, and friend—he is a protector, a provider, and a pillar of strength for everyone around him. For 27 years, Petar has faithfully served the city of Chicago as a member of the Police Department, dedicating his life to the safety and well-being of others. He has answered the call of duty countless times, never wavering in his commitment to serve and protect his community.

Now, it's our turn to show up for Petar.

As the primary caretaker for his family, Petar has always put his wife and three beautiful daughters first. With his health rapidly declining, the Brkovic family is facing not only the emotional weight of this transition but also significant financial hardship. From mounting medical bills and anticipated funeral costs to ongoing and unexpected expenses, the burden is heavy, and it's one no family should have to bear alone.
