The Film

Hello friends. I’m raising funds to produce "The Bridge", a short 15-minute film that I have become passionate about. It's a character-driven short about two teens rebuilding a fragile bond across a class divide, told through a single studio session as they collaborate on an original song written for this film!

It's an intense, emotional story about friendship, class difference, ambition, and the ways people try to reconnect after growing apart. At its heart are two teenage girls whose bond was shaped and fractured by the different worlds they come from. Music becomes the shared language where they try to find each other again.

What draws me to this story is that it isn’t about easy resolutions. It’s about empathy, memory, and the quiet ways people can still affect each other even after life pulls them apart. Young friendships, out of which we all grow, ultimately define who we are.

The focus of the story is, of course, the song on which the actors collaborate within a fixed 90-minute window. I've been working with a recognized Nashville-based songwriter to create a musical message that dovetails elegantly with the film's. The song itself will be the highlight.

With the help of Autumn Rager and Cherry Noir Films, we're assembling a small, focused production team to do the story justice. Our goal is to create a film that feels intimate, honest, and emotionally real.

We plan to submit the finished film to festivals, including writer-focused and independent festivals that champion character-driven storytelling. Who knows where that will lead!
