Support the Brian Ward Family

“When [Jesus] returned to Capernaum, sometime later word went round that he was in the house; and so many people collected, that there was no room left—even in front of the door. He was preaching the word to them when some people came bringing him a paralytic carried by four men, but as they could not get the man to him through the crowd, they stripped the roof over the place where Jesus was; and when they had made an opening, they lowered the stretcher on which the paralytic lay.” Mark 2:1-4

Thank you for finding your way to this page. We are the family and friends of the Brian Ward Family. Brian—our Brother, Uncle and friend—was taken suddenly from our midst on January 9, 2022.  He was only 55 years old. Brian went into the hospital on Christmas Eve, and never returned  home. He left behind his devoted wife, (Amy) and three children (Tyler, Tony and AnnaMarie). Tyler (who was diagnosed with autism in 2007) and AnnaMarie are still at home with their mother.

We have decided to participate in this fundraiser out of love and concern for Amy and her family. When Brian died, the family was, of course, devastated; but his death also left Amy in a financial dilemma.  The Ward family depended on Brian’s salary to meet the monthly bills that are a part of the human experience. Brian was also working overtime, in an effort to provide their youngest child, AnnaMarie with a Catholic education; and, he almost made it. AnnaMarie is just 17 months shy of graduating from Mt. de Sales Academy for Girls, just outside of Baltimore.

Please understand that we are deeply grateful for the compassionate assistance that has already been received, but the costs of daily living will continue to be an unceasing challenge, as the Ward family moves forward without their patriarch. In fact, funds are so elusive, that they are struggling to provide a headstone for Brian’s grave.

This leads us to the purpose of the fundraiser. As concerned friends and family, we, like the friends of the paralytic in the above scripture passage, are standing on the rooftop—carefully lowering the Ward family through the rooftop, and into the presence of Jesus; because it is Jesus who is our help in times of distress as well as joy; and it is Jesus, who will be our help in this crisis as well.

So our first request is directed toward Him, our good God, as we petition Him for His assistance and His mercy. Our second request is directed to this audience. We wish to be your friends on the rooftop as well. Therefore, we would like to humbly ask: “How may we pray for you?” If you are so inclined, please provide your intentions in the comments section, and we WILL pray for you.

Finally, if you feel as if you can assist the Ward family with your prayers and/or financial support, please know we will be praying for you, by name, in return.

Know that we are deeply grateful for your prayers and support, during this impossibly difficult time in the lives of the Brian Ward Family.

God love you,

The Friends and Family on the Rooftop.
