Help the Brenner Family

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family of Ray Brenner,

I wanted to reach out and let you know that I am fundraising to help The Brenner’s.   They have shared the financial burden they are currently experiencing with Ray not working now since he fell ill on Sept. 16th.  He quickly used up his remaining vacation time.  Bills are due, groceries, gas and doctor visits are needed and Candy home schools and only works part time.  She missed several weeks of work to be by Ray’s side.  This family lives on a tight budget normally and so without Ray’s income they are really struggling.  The medical bills are starting to arrive and this is a huge concern with no savings to help pay for them.

We love the Brenner family and know how much they give of themselves and do for others.  They have a genuine love of people and are always available in a time of need.  Their strong faith has carried them trusting that God will provide for their needs.  Will you join this cause by donating what you can to help support this family while Ray regains his strength?

For those who may not know all the details:

Ray came home from work sick with fever, chills and completely exhausted on Monday Sept. 16th.  His fever climbed and chills caused body rigors, terrible muscle aches, violent headache and eye pain.  His wife packed him in ice and attempted to fight the fever with Tylenol and Ibuprofen.  Unfortunately Ray remained at 103.5 for about 30 hours.  He was taken to the ER on Wed where he was treated for dehydration and tested for the flu among many many other viruses and bacteria.  It wasn’t the flu, West Nile, Lyme’s…  Ray was admitted to be observed and his condition continued to deteriorate.  He developed multiple pneumonias, and had to be on oxygen starting on his 2nd of the 11 day stay.  Five days in hewas moved to the ICU with low blood oxygen, racing heart and Afib, continued raging fevers and uncontrollable pain and body chills, multiple pneumonias.  His life was almost lost more than once.   With all of the blood draws, lumbar puncture, bronchoscopy and a multitude of tests, a specific cause of his viral meningitis and pneumonia was not determined.  However, Ray was discharged after 11 days to continue to recuperate at home.  It’s hard not knowing what caused him to almost lose his life.  But he is focused on the fact that he is alive and wants to live even more boldly for Jesus!  He is so grateful for all the prayers lifted on his and the family’s behalf!  Thank you all!

Please consider sharing the fundraiser link with friends!  All funds will go to medical bills and monthly household bills/expenses.  Ray is gaining strength daily and working hard to get doctor clearance to go back to work.
