On Friday, August 1st the Borkoski family was hit with tragedy. Patricia Ward died unexpectedly Friday morning. Later that afternoon, her son, had a stress induced brain hemorrhage and was flown to a special trauma center in Washington D.C. where he is currently fighting for his life. Pat's grandson is currently trying to come up with the funds to pay for the release and cremation services for his grandmother. He has been in D.C. at his father's bedside since Friday. The funeral home will not do anything with the grandmother's body until all expenses are paid for. He is unable to work at this time and is on his own to figure out how to pay for all of this. I am asking for help from friends and family that can contribute and help lift some of this burden for him. Any leftover funds will be used for a Celebration of Life as well as medical care for her 90 year old sister who Mike is also taking care of.
