Support the Borges Family's Journey

My name is Robin Brainard and I am raising funds for the Borges family, Donna, Amanda, and Madison Borges. The Borges family were introduced to me back in 2001 and they became fast friends. Even though we are separated by coasts, we have managed to stay in touch through the years.

Donna and her family have lived in the Bay Area in Livermore, CA for over 20 years, raising two kids, Amanda and JD, and now helping to raise her grandchildren, Madison and Jamie. After 40+ years of marriage, Donna now finds herself single and navigating a number of challenges on her own. A recent car accident has left her daughter hospitalized in the ICU, they are without a functioning vehicle, and will be facing high medical bills and continued doctors care to ensure she recovers fully.

Their long-time home is now uninhabitable due to sewage issues as the home has been confirmed to have mold and asbestos. The bedrooms are all closed off until remediation can be conducted so they all sleep in the living room. All of their towels and some of Madison's stuffed animals had to be used to soak up sewage that was leaking into the home. The home owner and landlord has no immediate plan of action and has, in fact, increased the monthly rent.

They urgently need to find new housing and are seeking assistance to secure a new place to live, purchase a new car and auto insurance policy and start paying on Amanda's medical bills. Any support, whether through financial donations, guidance, temporary shelter, or resources for a new rental home, would be deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
