The Book Nook & Java Shop has operated and served the community of The White Lake area for nearly twenty two years. Hosting events and donating to numerous organizations over the years. We are a bookstore, gathering spot, coffee shop, wine bar, venue, and hub of the social community.
Recently The Book Nook & Java Shop has endured a disaster after a Brewery directly underneath them set on fire. Resulting in heavy smoke damage to the store that has left us unable to function as normal. As insurance claims take a long time to process, do not cover all aspects of damages suffered, and we wish to remain open, we are seeking this fundraising platform to cover the following:
- loss of income resulting of being closed and not being able to be fully operational.
- loss of revenue that keeps the shop running.
- immediate repairs to necessary appliances, and to our bake case.
- pay employees and current bills.
- Legal consultation.
- buying new merchandise that is not covered by insurance.
