Keep Art Alive at the Blue Door

Art Happens Here! We are a gallery, we are a studio, we are a community center for creativity.

At the Blue Door Art Center we benefit:
Local Artists -  giving them a place to exhibit and sell their work, as well as offer an artist member program
Children - who come to us for weekly free art workshops
Community - who gather for art openings, gallery hops and art workshops, open mic nights, writing workshops, pod casts are more...
Teaching Artists - are given an opportunity to teach and receive fair compensation

We generate local jobs, provide volunteer opportunities, internships and reach out to help our neighboring schools with art workshops. We have been part of the revitalization of downtown Yonkers for over 10 years. We are rich in art, smiles and hugs, funds are running low. We need funds urgently now to keep providing an artistic haven in downtown Yonkers, NY.  While we do receive funds and support from government and local organizations, it is not enough to cover all of our expenses. We need funds to cover our operational costs.
