Hello everyone,
We are the Blas family, and we are fighting with everything we have to protect the two people who need us most: our oldest brother, who has cerebral palsy, and our mother, whose health has been deteriorating since the heartbreaking loss of our father.
Our brother has lived his entire life with complete dependence on others. He cannot sit upright, cannot walk, and needs help for every single part of daily living. He is gentle, vulnerable, and innocent. And right now, he is scared.
Our father was his constant caregiver, his protector, the one who understood every sound he made, every expression, every need. Losing him was like losing his anchor to the world.
Our mother—already fragile—has been trying her best to care for him on her own. But her health is failing, and she simply cannot meet his needs the way he deserves. She is exhausted, grieving, and overwhelmed, yet she continues to push herself because she doesn’t want to fail her son.
Meanwhile, we are here in Alaska, desperate to bring them home, to surround them with love, safety, and proper medical care. But we have hit a heartbreaking barrier.
All airlines flying out of Guam have discontinued stretcher services. Because our brother cannot sit upright at all, he cannot travel on a normal flight. His only safe option is a medevac or air ambulance—something so financially out of reach that it feels impossible for us to do on our own.
And while our mother’s condition makes travel challenging for her too, she insists her only wish is to get her son to Alaska—where he can finally be safe, cared for, and surrounded by family again.
Every day that passes takes a toll on him… and on her.
Every day we are painfully aware that they are struggling alone.
We need help.
We need compassion.
We need a miracle.
