Support the Blancos' Road to Recovery

The Blancos need our help! They've lived through every family's worst nightmare. Leesa, Chris, and Ava are at UVA recovering from a devastating accident. Their boys are in the care of family and friends. They really need the help of our community with both parents out of work for an unforeseen amount of time. This family is the best among the best. Any one of them would take the shirt off their back to help someone. Let's take care of them while they focus on recovering and healing their family.

Here's a message from Leesa:

At around 10ish yesterday morning (Sat, August 31st), we were hit head-on in a collision by a drunk driver going around 100 mph. Long story short, Ava's back and clavicle were broken, and she is currently recovering from surgery where they had to put in two rods and 8 screws. She has some chipped teeth and swelling. Chris broke 4 ribs and has other injuries. I broke my lower back, hand, foot, and have some internal bleeding. Surgery for me is still to be determined. Needless to say, we are pretty banged up!

The boys were with our good friends in the car right in front of us, and they are very shaken up by the whole thing, obviously, but so grateful they decided to ride with friends!

We are at a phenomenal hospital giving me and my family the best care, and for that and for our lives, I'm so grateful! We were told many times a guardian angel must be watching over us, and I surely know my brother was with us!

Another reminder: life is short, and do NOT drink and drive!! And if you're the praying type, please, please include us in your prayers tonight.
