Support The BIGG Theatre

The BIGG Theatre was the pipe dream of four entertainment professionals living in Biggleswade, driven by the lack of arts, entertainment and culture in the town. What it’s become is beyond our wildest dreams and that’s down, in no small part, to you. This time last year we were still standing in a building site, yet today Biggleswade has it’s own theatre delivering live music, theatre, dance, stand up comedy, cinema, open mic nights, children’s theatre and even throwing Ceilidhs! Then there’s our ever growing programme of daytime activities such as Chatty Tuesdays, Chair Yoga, Broadway Boogie Encore, Grief Café and Art Workshop, there really is something for everyone and we hope that it’s becoming one of your favourite places in town.

Here comes the challenge, we are a Community Interest Company run by volunteers and the overheads involved in running an arts space in a Grade II listed building are immense, especially whilst we are still gearing up to full capacity. Although we have been very fortunate and have been awarded some grants for the renovation of the building, unlike other arts centres of our size we don’t yet receive any regular funding.
