April 29th marks a deeply heartbreaking day for the Bernal family.

David bravely fought a long and fierce battle with cancer, facing each challenge with unwavering determination and love for his family. Every treatment he endured was driven by his desire to be there for them—not just to survive, but to continue living for the people he cherished most.

Along the way, he celebrated the small victories, always finding light in the darkest moments. Through it all, he held his family close, working to keep life as normal as possible—with warmth, strength, and a shared love of food that brought comfort and connection.
