On July 3rd, during a severe storm in Binghamton, New York, my family’s home was destroyed in a fire. It took nine fire departments over four hours to get it under control, but we lost nearly everything. I’m the oldest daughter in the Berger family. My parents, my two younger sisters, and I are now trying to rebuild and recover from this devastating loss.
