We’re the Bedkes. Some of you that have been following Chris’ story know he suffered a spinal injury in 2024 and underwent three surgeries. He filed for disability in 2024 and was denied at the beginning of the year. He filed again in August and is in Stage 3, but that can take up to 200 days to get an answer. He is not steady on his feet, experiences frequent severe episodes of vertigo and cannot function at DJ events properly, thus we cannot book them.

Meanwhile, I have been his paid caregiver and I went back to work in March. During a yearly mammogram in June, something was detected and they had me come back. I had a biopsy and it was confirmed I had Ductal Carcinoma Stage 1, Grade 3 ER+ HER2+. I underwent a lumpectomy in October and started chemo in November. I am on state disability right now.

We are late paying our property taxes ($5500 every six months) and owe another $2800 and then it will be time to save for the March tax payment. Anything we get will go towards our property taxes. We appreciate you all.
