I will be traveling to Wisconsin with over a thousand other activists to take part in an effort to rescue the beagles from Ridglan Farms, a large-scale research facility.

These 2,000+ dogs spend their entire lives in 2x4 cages, never seeing sunlight or feeling the outside world. They are bred for one purpose—to be used in experimentation that is cruel and outdated. After everything they endure, most never make it out alive.

Why am I going? I can't unhear the cries I've heard from a great distance, the "behind the scenes" footage, and I had to ask myself, "What kind of a person am I if I don't?"
