On December 14, near midnight, Terence’s father arrived home from work at their apartment in Koreatown, Los Angeles, and found it had been broken into and ransacked. The burglars took irreplaceable items such as 15 pairs of Nike shoes (including rare Jordans), cherished jewelry such as his volleyball championship ring and his mother’s wedding band and necklaces, his father’s firearms, his mother’s purses, watches, and other sentimental belongings.
The estimated cost of their loss is around $14,000, and while insurance may help cover part of it, the sentimental value of some of these treasured items can never be replaced.
We are so grateful no one was harmed during this robbery, but the emotional toll on their family is heavy. It’s heartbreaking to see Terence and his family, who have always worked so hard and been so selfless, go through something so unfair, especially during the holidays.
Terence’s parents are among the most generous people I know. They work tirelessly to make a living in LA and provide for family back home in the Philippines, sending balikbayan boxes yearly to loved ones. If you know the Bautista family, they are kind and selfless in all that they do. It’s clear they’ve raised their son, Terence, with the same values.
This holiday season, I hope we can remind the Bautista Family that despite hardship, there is still kindness and goodness in this world. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of their loss and show them they are not alone.
Let’s give them the love and support they deserve during this difficult time. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
