Jalen and the Baribault family have been instrumental in the Anacortes community for many years. Jalen was a student at Island View Elementary for the last 6 years and started at the middle school just last week. Jalen passed away unexpectedly September 10th after a medical emergency.

Jalen's dad, Mike, teaches and coaches baseball and basketball at Anacortes High School, mom- Amanda, subs all across the district, and his two brothers Jordan and Jackson are at the middle school and high school.

Jalen had the best laugh, the best smile, and was one of the most resilient, hard working and loving kids. He pulled some crazy stunts (and would stick the landing every time), He loved walks, playing outside no matter the weather, watching his brothers play baseball, and most of all spend time with his family.

I was his teacher for the last 5 years, and I have grown close to this family and will continue to support them in this tragedy. Mike and Amanda have given approval for me to create this page.

With medical bills, emergency room visit and memorial service expenses coming, lets support this amazing family and take a little bit of this burden off their minds, knowing the grief will never go away.
