Hi, my name is Ana. When I was little I played soccer, I wasn't great, but it got me really interested in sports! Recently, my mom told me an inspiring story about the Bangladesh Women's Soccer Team, who against all odds became champions. In my spare time I am helping support them. You can help, too!

Women's soccer in Bangladesh has made remarkable progress, but they lack many basic resources.

They won the SAFF Women's Championship two years in a row—pretty incredible considering their limited resources and that they only played their first national game in 2010! No other team has won twice. Many players come from poor backgrounds, including Indigenous communities. And what’s more, as hard as it is to believe, they live in an environment where some people oppose the idea of women playing professional sports.

But the team continues to inspire young girls across the country, with participation in women's soccer increasing steadily over the past few years.
