Support the Bahn Family During Steve’s Transplant Recovery
Steve and Sarah are in the middle of the fight of their lives — and they are facing it with extraordinary strength.
Steve recently underwent a stem cell transplant. The transplant itself was a success, and his donor cells have engrafted — something everyone prayed hard to see. But transplant is not a single event; it is a long and demanding process. Recovery requires constant monitoring, frequent hospital visits, transfusions, powerful medications, and vigilance for complications like graft-versus-host disease. Even after discharge, Steve will return to the hospital multiple times each week while his immune system rebuilds.
Right now, healing is Steve’s full-time job. Supporting that healing is Sarah’s.
Because of the intensity of this season, both of them are unable to work. This sudden and significant loss of income comes at the same time that medical-related expenses continue to accumulate — including prescriptions, travel to and from the hospital, home medical supplies, and the many added costs that come with prolonged treatment and recovery.
At the same time, their daughter Marley has her own ongoing medical needs, which continue to require time, advocacy, and care.
If you know Steve and Sarah, you know they are the first to show up for others. This is one of those rare seasons when they need their community to show up for them.
Funds raised here will go directly toward:
- Medical and prescription expenses
- Frequent hospital visits and transportation costs
- Home health and infection-prevention needs
- Household expenses during this extended loss of income
Most importantly, this support gives them the ability to focus fully on Steve’s recovery and their family without the overwhelming stress of financial uncertainty.
Thank you for loving them, praying for them, and walking beside them during this incredibly difficult chapter. Every message, prayer, and gift makes a difference.
