The Hard Work Paid Off: Funding the Festival Trophies

The final quarter of 2024 into 2025 has been one of the most exciting and humbling periods of my career and personal life. Two projects that I developed and produced, Thank You for the Ride Aileen (a film) and 3 of 77 (a documentary) were nominated and awarded several honors, including a 2025 Silver Telly Award for Culture and Lifestyle for my work on 3 of 77. My film Aileen has won multiple screenwriting awards in festivals and screenplay competitions, and has recently been a competitive project on the film festival market. Most recently, the film won six awards at the IndieX Film Fest, including one for Best Director.

The hard work that goes into the arts and the process of filmmaking is a labor of love and immense dedication. Collaboration and community are the essential elements of storytelling, and validation of winning awards for these projects has been a truly humbling and honorable experience. As I pursue the development of my own independent micro-production company, which focuses on concept development, investment, and support would be a great first step.
