Darrel Auvenshine, our dear friend and the beloved pastor of Southside City Church, was recently diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer of the pancreas.

The good news: the cancer is localized and surgery will remove this instance of the cancer, as well as the part of the pancreas where the cancer is located, part of his stomach, small intestine, and gall bladder.

Amazingly, Darrel’s surgeon had an unexpected opening and his surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th!

The challenge: Finances.

The hospital has estimated Darrel's surgery will cost $52,972, not including the hospital stay, etc.

God is ALWAYS FAITHFUL and $20,000 has already been given to Darrel and Kim since the news of his diagnosis was first shared!! 

This leaves a need of $32,000.

We know this is a large sum and raising it is a big goal. But, we have seen God do miracles like this before and we know He is capable to do it again.

We do not feel panic, but ask that you give as you are able. Every penny counts!
