We are Maria, Marlene and Manuel – the Austrian Surf National Team.
Yes, we come from a landlocked country – but our passion for surfing has taken us far beyond borders, coastlines, and expectations.
With dedication, countless hours in the water, and the dream of representing our home on the world stage, we’re proud to say:

Our path so far:
From the Austrian Surf Championships to competing at the European Surfing Championships 2025, we’ve worked our way up step by step – without a coastline, without a federation budget, but with everything we’ve got.
Now, we have the chance to represent Austria at the highest international level, side by side with surf nations like Brazil, Australia and Japan.
It’s not just about us – it’s about showing what’s possible for the next generation of Austrian surfers! We hope our story inspires young people across Austria and the world to believe in their dreams. Because passion knows no geographic boundaries.
Why we need your help:
Unlike many other national teams, we receive no central funding. Everything – travel, equipment, entry fees, training and content – is completely self-funded.
We’ve launched this GoFundMe to make this dream possible.
