In June Justin was diagnosed with a form of cancer called Sarcoma. Him and his family spent time traveling back and forth to Plano for his tests, biopsies, bone scans, and CTs. He underwent chemo and radiation in hopes of shrinking the mass on his thigh and making him a candidate for it to be removed surgically. Despite these interventions the mass remained and his follow up scans concerned his ortho oncologist. He was informed that he would need his left leg amputated. This news was not what they hoped and prayed for. The surgery is scheduled for October 2nd in Plano. Post op he will then find out whether he will be placed at an in or out patient facility for rehab. His recovery process will not be easy and will require an ample amount of adaptations to their home. These accommodations will make it so that Justin can maintain as much independence as possible. He also will be assessed for a prosthesis in the months following his procedure. All of these past and future appointments have and will continue to result in more medical bills in addition to Justin and Tara both missing work. Please consider donating to help alleviate some of the stress they are undeniably dealing with. Despite his cancer diagnosis and the disheartening doctors reports, Justin, Tara, and Haleigh continue to have hope and faith that God has a plan for them far greater than they can see. Your prayers and monetary gifts are not taken for granted
