Honoring Andrew Arthur Vallozzi IV
Creating the Andrew A. Vallozzi IV Memorial Scholarship
Andrew A. Vallozzi IV’s journey in leadership and service commenced at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy, where he first donned a cadet uniform. It was here that he discovered the discipline, teamwork, and self‑confidence that would profoundly influence his life’s trajectory. Andrew furthered this path as a college cadet in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ARFOTC), receiving his commission as a United States Air Force Intelligence Officer, serving six years in Germany and Texas and deploying several times in support of his missions.
Andrew regarded his final assignment as an Instructor at the Distributed Common Ground System Formal Training Unit as his most fulfilling role. He dedicated himself to teaching and mentoring fellow officers, focusing not only on imparting the technical skills and knowledge necessary for success but also on fostering enthusiasm for the responsibilities they would undertake.
Following his honorable discharge, Andrew remained actively engaged with the military community, serving for several years as the Vice President of the Military Officers Association of Southwest Florida. Among his proudest responsibilities was advocating for the association’s annual JROTC scholarship dinner. He consistently left each event inspired by the drive, accomplishments, and aspirations of the cadets and was deeply committed to creating additional opportunities for their growth.
In tribute to Andrew's legacy, our family and friends are establishing the Andrew A. Vallozzi IV Memorial Scholarship. The primary objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to exceptional JROTC and ROTC cadets as they pursue collegiate studies and participate in ROTC programs, thereby contributing to the development of our military's future leaders.
A quick but important note on your gift and taxes
We are forming a Florida nonprofit corporation and applying for federal 501(c)(3) status. Until the IRS exemption letter is approved, contributions to this GoFundMe are not tax‑deductible. We are setting up this GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to make contributions now, and have asked friends and family to contribute to this cause in lieu of sending flowers or other gifts following Andrew's passing. Once approval is granted, we will send out communications for those wishing to make tax-deductible contributions directly to the 501(c)(3).
