On the very last morning of our Requiem Tour (September 2nd), The Amatory Murder suffered a devastating blow. While staying at a SpringHill Suites, we were victims of a smash-and-grab. In just a few moments, thousands of dollars worth of our gear - the very instruments and tools we rely on to make music - were stolen from us.

Everything we do is for the love of music. We work our day jobs, we drive countless miles, we pour our energy, our time, and our hearts into creating something we can share with you. Playing shows isn’t just about performing - it’s about connection, catharsis, and community. To have that taken from us in this way is crushing.

This came at the end of what has already been a string of bad luck for us - flat tires and the cost of switching to a more expensive rental vehicle, a broken laptop, items destroyed in transit 35,000 feet in the air - all of the hidden struggles you don’t see when we’re on stage, pushing forward to give everything we can in our performance.

But we are not giving up. Music is who we are, and we refuse to let this stop us. We have Brewstock Festival coming up on September 27th, and we are determined to be there and give it everything we’ve got. We’ve set up a GoFundMe to try to replace the gear we’ve lost so we can keep creating, touring, and sharing our music with you. We’ve always done our part to give back - whether through shows that benefit philanthropic causes or lending our platform to support others in need. But this time, we’re asking for a little help ourselves.
