Hi everyone! My name is Scott Dersam, the Research Director of the Alpine Ecosystems Research Institute (AERI).

AERI is a Park County, Montana based Nonprofit, and we spend our days conducting multidisciplinary research, prioritizing community public education and outreach, and promoting ecological and cultural conservation efforts for the benefit of mountainous and high-elevation environments across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE).

We are raising money for a cause that means a lot to us, our ability to activity provide opportunities in the field and laboratory for members of the public to join, engage, and learn about the deep past and complex environments in their own backyard. These opportunities support student internships, public workshops, field archaeology and conservations events, museum exhibits, and public lectures.

The communities of Park County and the surrounding GYE make our work incredible. We've seen firsthand how community engagement with the past and the environment enriches the lives of others in meaningful ways that continue to impact and support our communities.
