Synopsis:

Rooted in the Hudhud oral tradition of the Ifugao people, Aliguyon tells the story of two young warriors, Aliguyon and Pumbakhayon, who inherit a generations-old rivalry between their tribes. Sent to settle their people's conflict through battle, the two find themselves locked in an extraordinary fight neither can win.

What begins as a battle for honor ultimately becomes a journey toward reconciliation, unity, and peace. Unlike many epic tales centered on conquest and revenge, Aliguyon's greatest victory is not defeating his enemy, but choosing to end the cycle of violence.

Our Message:

For generations, stories like Aliguyon have been passed down through the Hudhud oral tradition. As the number of storytellers able to carry these traditions forward declines, there is an increasing urgency to find new ways to share and celebrate this cultural heritage.

We believe these stories deserve to be experienced by future generations which is why we want to reimagine Aliguyon through virtual reality.
