Unexpected Loss of Their Child

I am asking the community to come together and support Ray, Amanda, Hannah, Amelia & family as they grieve the loss of Keira. After a short hospital admission, on Saturday, October 30th at 10:48 in the morning Keira's heart suddenly and unexpectedly stopped. Despite every medical intervention possible the team of nurses and doctors could not save sweet Keira and she passed away with Amanda by her side.

No parent, sister, grandparent or aunt should ever have to say goodbye to a child. Keira was only 6 years old, and in those 6 years she battled the challenges that came with Rett Syndrome with strength and smiles. No one can ever prepare for the loss of a child, and we can't even begin to understand the depth and pain of their loss. All we can do is share the burden of this unexpected trauma but easing some of the financial responsibilities. I am asking that we cradle the Algar family in the love of our community as they endure this unimaginable loss. We are asking for support so that Ray and Amanda don't have to bear the additional costs of funeral and memorial arrangements for Keira, to help accommodate their family who are crossing the country to be with them, for dog boarding and skip the dishes so that they can grieve in peace. No amount is too small as we want them to know we share this burden.
