To celebrate Alex's memory and the enduring power of teamwork, mentorship, and service to others we've created the Alex Shamy Memorial Soccer Scholarship.
Alex's childhood soccer journey was marked by his commitment to his team and his ability to inspire those around him, characteristics he applied to all of his eclectic interests and hobbies in adulthood.
Through soccer he recognized the profound impact of strong mentorship, the importance of uplifting others and fostering a sense of unity - values he exhibited in all aspects of his life.
This scholarship is intended to the support college education of select graduating seniors from Patrick Henry High School who:
- Exemplify a strong team spirit in soccer and other areas of life
- Demonstrate leadership qualities on and off the field
- Show a commitment to personal growth and the development of others
This scholarship ensures that Alex's legacy continues to inspire and nurture future leaders, while reducing the financial burden of their higher education.
