On August 13th, 2025 my family was stuck with a devastating loss. It’s with an extremely heavy heart that I share the tragic loss of my grandmother Ezinne Mrs. Gladys Nennaya Agwu, who passed away after a brief illness. Losing her is an unimaginable loss for my family, our village and all who loved her.

My sweet grandmother brought love, laughter, and light to everyone she touched. She was deeply loved by her family, her students, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

We’ve created a GoFundMe to support our family with funeral/ memorial costs, outstanding medical expenses and all other immediate needs during this impossibly trying time. Making arrangements from outside the country, while handling finances between foreign currencies is very difficult and any support - financial, emotional, or simply sharing this- means everything to us.

This fund will go toward funeral and memorial expenses and all other immediate needs in the weeks and months ahead. All funds raised will go directly toward assisting the family.
