On Thursday, October 1, 2026 there was a terrible fire on Boyd Avenue in Jersey City. One of our elderly neighbors lost her life, and numerous families had their homes destroyed. One family, The Aguas Family, lost their home and most belongings from smoke and water damage. The family, 3 generations in one home, are now displaced and separated. Two young children, ages 8 and 10, their 82-year-old grandma, and their dad were able to evacuate, along with their family dog, but the home is uninhabitable. The family, including their mom who was at work at the time of the fire, are now trying to pick up the pieces. Please contribute any amount you can to help them get back on their feet.
