This fundraiser will support the Abu Dayeh Family of 10's immediate, basic needs. The family is has been displaced in a tent in their home town of Khan Younus for over a year, unable to return to their home because it was destroyed by the Occupation.
They are humbly requesting community support to purchase the following:
Warm Clothing -- specifically for Shaza's 2 young children, but the whole family is in need of new clothing.
Notebooks and textbooks -- for Mohammed, Rataj and Renad, who are resiliently completing their studies while displaced. Renad is almost done with her university degree, and walks many miles each day to a classroom, where she is currently finishing her final exams. Rataj is finishing high school this year alongside her brother Mohammed.
To Fix their shelter -- during heavy rain, water seeps into their tent. The family is looking to purchase a panel to attach to the top of their tent.
A Water Barrel -- to collect water for cooking, drinking and cleaning.
A Battery Generator -- The family wants to purchase a new battery to power their light source.
Food
Aid in Medical costs for the family, specifically Mohammad, who was struck in the head with shrapnel released from the occupations bombs.

About this Fundraiser:
My name is Sofia Tobia Gage, and i'm organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the The Abu Dayeh Family of 10. I've been friends with the family for a little over a year now. Together, we have organized events and fundraising in order to support the family's survival and tell their stories. Shaza Abu Dayeh, alongside her sisters Renad and Rataj, have been documenting their family's experience surviving genocide on instagram, please visit their instagram, watch the webinar recording of the talk they gave at Smith College, and read Shaza's book to learn more about their story. All the links are above.
Thank you for aiding in the family's survival, any and all contributions are encouraged.
