Hello!
My name is Julian Lin, aka "Julian Businessman" and I'm an 11-year-old kid who LOVES business and entrepreneurship. I have been volunteering at neighborhood stores since I was 4, and setting up my own shops, like lemonade, hot chocolate, and merch stands. I also always donate at least 30% to charity, and have raised more than $40,000 for all sorts of causes.
I love sharing my passion for business and philanthropy with other kids and that's why last year, I organized my first Kids Business Fair. I rented a section of a large local vintage market, and recruited kids interested in business to run their own self-made shops for a day. Leading up to the fair, I taught them how to run their shops in Zoom classes.
It was super fun, very educational, and all the kids donated at least 30% of their profits to a charity of their choice. Here you can see what it was like: https://www.julianbusinessman.com/kids-business-fair
The event was such a success that this year we're doing it again!
My goal is to keep the event free for all the kids who want to participate. I believe every kid should have the chance to learn about entrepreneurship, regardless of whether they have the startup funds. That’s why I’m covering the costs for the space, tables, tents, chairs, and tablecloths. Last year, I tried to get sponsors, but it was very time-consuming and I barely broke even. This year, I’m trying something different by reaching out to the community for support.
Your donation will help me cover the event costs and make sure that each kid has the opportunity to participate, learn, and be inspired to become entrepreneurs and philanthropists.
Thank you for considering supporting us.
Sincerely,
Julian
