Thandav at NC State, North Carolina State University’s competitive Indian classical dance team, is dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, contributing to social service, and preserving the timeless art of Indian classical dance. Through choreography, music, and our shared passion, we aim to bridge the gap between ancient traditions and contemporary expression.
Over the years, Thandav has traveled across the country, competing with other collegiate Indian classical dance teams and showcasing the rich heritage of Indian arts. Last year, we were honored to win first place at Swara, a competition hosted by UC San Diego. This year, we’re excited to continue showcasing our talent and representing NCSU on a national stage.
