Hi there - my name is Karin Connally Heiden. I have known Thaddeus Morris and his family for over 20 years through our former studio and dance company. I had the honor of teaching Thaddeus and then working with both Thaddeus and his wife, Micaela, when they completed their college degrees and moved to Texas to pursue performing, teaching, and choreography careers.

In May, this lovely young couple had a beautiful baby girl. While this is definitely a joyous occasion, Micaela fell ill and was hospitalized three weeks later. She ended up in the ICU for two weeks with postpartum complications and is dealing with a new diagnosis that the family will need to navigate. In total, Micaela was in the hospital for 19 days - but was released June 23rd.

I have talked with the family about starting this fundraiser to help Thaddeus and Micaela with their unexpected medical expenses as well as their general living expenses (think household expenses, insurance, groceries, etc.). When you have an unexpected illness, paying bills can be challenging. Please consider helping in any way you can.
