Our family has been incredibly grateful by the love and support by our friends and family the past month. Yes, there is cancer in my breast, and in the next week or two, we will have a treatment plan in place. I know people really like to know details, but for now, this is what I’m sharing. And if this is the first time you are hearing about this, I apologize. It feels weird to randomly text people “Hey, how are you? I have cancer!”

Many are asking how they can help. First, prayer. Prayer works. Prayers for complete healing. It feels vulnerable to ask people for money, but donations are extremely helpful. We are not setting up a meal train as I am following a specific diet. Donations will be put towards medical bills, meal prep, integrative treatments, and support for our family. Having cancer has given me the confidence to speak plainly, and I’d like to share my thoughts about this journey. I am not going to be a “survivor” as that implies that I am a victim in this. I agreed to this assignment from God, and while I do not know why, I have faith, deep faith. It’s not something to be beaten or killed. My body is imbalanced, it's asking me for help, and we will help it return to wholeness. Many things cause dis-ease in the body, and I am spending time tending to all of them, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. And of course, approaching it with western medicine paired with integrative medicine ;)

I can’t express enough how much everyone’s support means to me. It has already brought me to tears many times. One day at a time <3
