For the past two years, Terry has been receiving dialysis three times a week. However, recently, tragedy struck. She suffered a serious fall, fracturing both legs. Now her legs are completely immobilized. For at least the next several weeks, she cannot put any weight on them at all.
Until now, her children have driven her to every dialysis appointment. But with both legs in casts, getting in and out of a regular vehicle is impossible. The only safe way to transport her is on a gurney, through a specialized medical transport service.
Unfortunately, Terry’s insurance does not cover gurney transportation. The cost is staggering, between $375–$450 per trip. At three trips a week for an estimated 10 weeks, even at the lowest rate, that’s about $11,250 out of pocket. This is an expense Terry simply cannot afford.
We’re exploring other financial assistance programs, but those solutions will take months to process. Terry needs to get to her treatments now. Missing dialysis is not an option; it’s a matter of life or death.
Your donations will go directly toward covering the cost of her medical transportation so she can continue receiving the care she desperately needs. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference in relieving the enormous stress on Terry and her family.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping.
