Terry is my father, and he’s always been the kind of person who puts others first. He’s a skilled carpenter who has served our community for years, building and repairing homes for countless families. As a wrestling coach at Foxcroft Academy and SeDoMoCha, and as a pastor at local churches, he’s touched the lives of so many people with his compassion, kindness, and unwavering support. His clients, students, and congregation all know him as someone who gives selflessly and makes a real difference in the lives of those around him.
Recently, Terry suffered a traumatic brain injury and a fractured back after falling off a ladder at his job site. He had been feeling unwell, but before anyone could react, he collapsed and fell. Thanks to the quick actions of his coworkers, who performed chest compressions and called 911, Terry survived a terrifying four minutes without breathing. He was rushed to Northern Light hospital, and after extensive tests revealed a brain bleed and a broken back, he was life-flighted to Bangor for specialized care. He spent days in the ICU, transitional ICU, and a regular hospital room, receiving care from neurologists, cardiologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nurses. He’s endured multiple CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, and is now on heavy pain medication, wearing a back brace, and struggling with a fuzzy mind and little appetite.
Because of his injuries, Terry can no longer work and has no income. The medical bills from his hospital stays, life flight, tests, medications, and therapies are overwhelming. He will also need ongoing aftercare, home health visits, and caregivers, as well as help with everyday expenses like mortgage, car payments, and gas. Our family is doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone. We are asking for your support to help Terry through this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated by our family. Please share this fundraiser to help us reach others who know and care about Terry.
