For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Terry Sharpe. On November 12th, I entered the emergency room with sepsis due to an infection that I had had in my leg. They had no choice but to amputate below the knee. I went into a rehab facility to heal, but Medicare only covered me for so long. Then I was told I would have to pay $350 a day or I would have to leave. Since I don’t have that kind of money, I had to leave. And once again, I'm living in my car, which is not as bad as it sounds, but in the past couple of days, I’ve discovered that it’s gonna cost me quite a bit to live in my car due to the price of gas and how much I’ll be using to keep my car heated.

I am on a budgeted income from disability and I will not be able to supplement that all until I get a prosthetic leg. I just found out I will be getting fitted on February 6th. I am in this situation right now where I only have $121 to last till the 2nd of January. Now that’s just to be able to barely survive. I still have bills and debts to pay. The $5000 is not necessarily what I’m aiming for. It’s just a number that they had me put in. What I am asking for is any amount that you could please send me to help me pay for day-to-day expenses, as well as be able to pay my bills and debts.
