In the recent weeks, Terry Leigh began feeling discomfort and what she thought may be a possible hernia in her abdomen. Considering her history and journey with ulcerative colitis, she and Skip made the trip to UAB to look into things further. With some initial scans and testing, her doctor and team at UAB felt confident there were some concerning places that may be malignant. Terry Leigh then had a procedure involving a scope to prob and biopsy these potential malignancies. With this has come the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. In the strength of the Lord, Terry Leigh is tough and ready to fight. She has had a port placed here in Tupelo to begin chemo on Wednesday, January 28th, in Birmingham. She and Skip have already been faced with several out of pocket expenses. There have been many wonderful people that love and support Terry Leigh and her precious family to come forward and try to help ease some of this burden. So many others have graciously asked how they can help too, therefore we are creating this GoFundMe. Our prayer is that the outpouring of love and support here will be felt by Terry Leigh and serve as a means for her to know just how LOVED she is and how many stand with her in this fight! We pray that this will lift some of their burden financially, so that her focus can be on her treatment path and a road to healing and beating this!
