Terry Knox and I have been friends since high school, and our families have shared many years together at Germantown Baptist Church. Over the past several years, Terry has bravely battled cancer with the support of his employer and loved ones. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened, and he has been bedridden for several months, unable to work. As a result, his family has lost their primary source of income and has been forced to sell personal items just to keep up with bills. At 63, Terry and his family are working hard to secure social security and disability benefits, but the process is slow and uncertain. In the meantime, they are facing mounting medical bills and everyday expenses, with only a small mortgage left to pay on their home.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward paying off the remaining mortgage. This crucial support will allow Terry's family to focus their limited resources on covering living expenses and maintaining his health insurance through the Cobra plan. Relieving the burden of the mortgage will provide them with much-needed stability during this incredibly difficult time.

As a long-time friend, I have watched Terry and his wife Rene face every challenge with strength and never ask for help. Now, as Terry's health has become critical and he has been moved to a rehab facility for the next month, I know the time has come to reach out to our community. Recent surgeries have left him with serious infections, and he is unable to get out of bed. The prognosis is not good, and he is in need of our prayers and a medical breakthrough. His wife Rene and daughter Danielle are doing everything they can to care for him and keep things together at home, but they cannot do it alone.
