On December 9th, tragedy struck again for a family that has already endured more than most of us could imagine.

Our dear friend Terry Cox was involved in a horrific accident on his way home, his vehicle went underneath a semi-truck, and it took rescuers over an hour to free him from the wreckage.

Terry was life-flighted from Bowling Green to Nashville where he remains in the ICU, intubated, sedated, and fighting through life-threatening injuries. His condition is extremely serious, and the road ahead is long and uncertain.

Terry will require multiple surgeries, a trach, extensive reconstruction, and months, possibly years, of recovery. He will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. His wife will also be unable to work as she becomes his full-time caregiver.

In January, it will mark two years since this family lost their two-year-old son, Preston Levi Ramsey, due to medical negligence, a trauma no parent should ever endure. Their world was shaken, their trust in the medical system shattered, and their daily life forever changed. The emotional, financial, and psychological toll of losing Preston still impacts them every single day.

Now, as they approach another anniversary of that unimaginable loss, they are facing yet another crisis, one that threatens their stability, their livelihood, and their sense of hope.

This family has been through more in two years than most experience in a lifetime.
