Friends of Terry have come together to create this fundraiser to support him and his young family as they face his cancer journey, including many months of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
In late 2025, at just 46 years old, Terry began losing weight and found it increasingly difficult to eat. When he noticed a lump in his throat, he did the brave and responsible thing and sought medical advice.
After numerous scans and tests over several weeks, Terry and his family received the devastating news no one ever expects. On Christmas Eve, his world changed forever with a cancer diagnosis: a tumour at the base of his tongue, extending into his tonsils and lymph nodes.
The diagnosis came completely out of the blue. Before this, Terry was fit, healthy, and full of life. He loved mountain biking and spending time outdoors with his wife, Gerri, their two beautiful children, Archie (7) and Edie (4), and their loyal cocker spaniel, Jack.
This has been an incredibly difficult and overwhelming time for Terry, his family, and everyone who loves them.
Terry’s treatment plan involves intensive daily radiotherapy in Oxford, alongside chemotherapy. He has had a feeding tube fitted, as he will not be able to eat, and is expected to be unable to work for a minimum of six months. During this time, his focus must be on treatment and recovery, and to spend as much time as he can with his family.
As a result, the financial pressure on the family is significant. Funds raised will go directly towards essential living costs, including mortgage payments, household bills, and weekly food shopping.
If you’re able to help, any donation — no matter how small — will make a genuine difference. Even sharing this page would mean so much.
Every contribution will go directly towards supporting our much-loved and courageous friend, and his young family, through this incredibly challenging chapter.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read, care, and help bring some comfort and support to Terry and his family when they need it most. ❤️
