Hello my name is Terry and I’m creating a GoFundMe to cover short term critical expenses for my disabled wife and myself until can get back to work.
I had cancer back in 2019 and as a result had to take a lesser paying job, due to long term complications, to support my wife and myself. In late 2025 I was told I needed complete knee replacement surgery and as a result I am unable to work until I can have that surgery which will be scheduled shortly. After my recuperation I will be cleared to go back to work. Being too young to receive medicare and my insurance canceled due to job loss it has been a challenge to support my disabled wife and myself.
My wife and I are both in our mid 60’s and among her health diagnosis are open heart surgery, pericarditis, auto immune syndrome, desmoid tumors, cancer and most recently 2 pulmonary embolism’s and mini strokes.
The bills have become overwhelming and with no living family members to ask for help it has become an uphill battle. Our faith in God and our perseverance has kept us going in addition to family and friends who can only do so much if only prayer and encouragement.
This money will be used to repair our aging vehicle which has an estimate in excess of $ 2,300.00, funds to catch up on bills amounting to $ 1,400.00 and a small stipend to assist in daily expenses and medical co-pays in the amount of $ 1,000.00 totaling $ 4,700.00 until I return to work in the fall of this year.
My vehicle is priority as it is desperately needed to get both my wife and myself to weekly doctors appointments which is two to three times per week given the severity of my wife’s health issues.
I have never had to ask for help at anytime in my life prior to this. I’m embarrassed that I need to ask. I hope you will prayerfully consider donating any amount you feel comfortable with until I can get back on my feet. At our age it seems to be an uphill battle but I do have hope for a better tomorrow.
