Hello everyone,

Our beloved mom, Terri Cates, has always been the rock of our family—known for her kindness and endless support for everyone around her. Recently, she fell and broke her hip. She had surgery and has been unable to make progress and her health has declined. She now requires 24-hour skilled nursing care.

We have found a wonderful long-term care facility, Angel Wings, that provides the specialized attention she needs and allows us to be close by. However, the costs associated with this care are substantial, averaging $5,500 per month. Medicare will not cover the costs. We have applied for ALTC, which we will not know if she qualifies for 100 days. We are doing everything we can, but we are facing a significant financial gap that we cannot bridge alone. The funds raised here will be used specifically to cover the initial fees and monthly rent/care costs for her first few months in the facility, ensuring she has a safe and comfortable environment while we navigate the long-term financial assistance process.
