My name is Jessica Lockhart, and I am Terrica’s sister-in-law. I am reaching out to everyone she knows because she needs our help right now.

Terrica is currently an associate principal, and most of you who are educators know that we only get 7 days of paid leave (charter). Terrica is an avid traveler, so with that being said, she doesn’t have a lot of PTO days left. She was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive breast cancer. This is happening extremely fast, and her absences are only going to be more frequent when she starts chemotherapy next week. In case you didn’t know, teachers' salary is only for a 9-month period but gets extended over 12 months. So if you miss a day outside your PTO, they take the daily rate of the 9-month period. She has an 11-month treatment plan and a surgery scheduled where she will not be able to work for about 6-8 weeks. Her medical bills and co-pays are already getting up there. Your donations will help cover her medical expenses and time away from work.

So, if you know Terrica, you know she will drive 30 minutes to just go water your grass, or meet you wherever you ask to grab a bite and cheer you up. She is always giving to others, and now it’s our time to give. I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can just share, that also helps too!

Tuesday is her first chemo appointment, so I ask that you keep her in your prayers. I will keep you all updated.
